On July 14th, 2022, the inaugural Wendell August NFT mint will take place. You will be able to make purchases using your Metamask wallet with Ethereum as well as through a credit card with NFTpay.

Wendell August has added a way to pay by debit or credit card on the website by using NFTpay. By entering in your debit or credit card information on the website, NFTpay will charge the card and mint the NFT on behalf of the customer, no Ethereum required. Below is a tutorial on how to claim your NFT from NFTpay.

Step 1: Navigate to https://www.wendellaugust.com/nft

Step 2: Click the link to “Buy NFTs”

Step 3: You will see 2 options. The first is to pay by card showing a VISA and Mastercard logo with a dollar amount that will be charged for the NFT. The second option will allow you to pay with your Metamask wallet showing the current cost in ETH. For instructions on how to fund your Metamask wallet with Ethereum, see the Wendell August Metamask Instructions. Instructions for minting using Metamask is Wendell August NFTs: How To Mint.

Step 4: The starting price for Wendell August NFTs will be $100 US Dollars, or the equivalent amount of Ethereum (0.085 ETH at today’s values). Gas fees are an inherent part of an NFT purchase and any transaction performed on a blockchain. Typical transaction fees to mint NFTs on Ethereum range between $30 and $100, and are used to pay for your transaction on the Ethereum blockchain. None of these gas fees are paid to Wendell August, but to the operators of Ethereum.

Step 5: Once you choose how many NFTs you’d like to mint, you will need to confirm the transaction in your metamask wallet. Gas fees are not included in the initial price, rather, gas will be added on at the end of the transaction. The total cost of the transaction will be the price of the NFT plus the associated gas fee.

Click on the option with the VISA and Mastercard logo.

Step 6: You will see prompts to enter your payment information. There are 3 steps. 1 and 2 will ask for your card information and address. Step 3 of the form will allow you to choose a quantity of NFTs for purchase and accept the sale. Be sure to click on the box to accept the sale and agree to the terms prior to clicking on the big purple button to “Pay Now.”

Step 7: Your Wendell August NFT will be minted when the transaction processes and a receipt will be automatically sent to the email address you provided. The transaction confirmation is your digital receipt, and you can confirm the completion of the transaction on the Etherscan.io link given, which will take you to the link of the actual NFT.

Step 8: When the minting is complete, you will be given an option to “View Your NFT Now.” You will be taken to a NFTpay page which will show you your NFT and all of its properties. As long as the NFT appears, the transaction was processed and smart contracts will be able to recognize that your wallet contains the Wendell August NFT.

Step 9: On the NFTpay page with your NFT, there will be an option to transfer the NFT to your digital wallet. We highly recommend transferring your NFT to your digital wallet (see Wendell August Wendell August Metamask Instructions) to make sure you don’t misplace or lose access to your NFT by accident. As long as you have the link emailed to you by NFTpay, you will have access to your NFT. If you lose access to this email, you will need to contact NFTpay’s help desk to help you regain access to your NFT. The best way to assure you will always have access to your NFT is if you send it to your digital wallet when convenient.
